Blaine Haruo Dela Cruz of Hanapepe, Hawaii, passed away in Lihue, Kauai, on October 4, 2026, at the age of 65. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 1, 1961. Blaine was a retired painter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Yoshie Dela Cruz; his father, Stanley Shizuo Takeshita Dela Cruz; and his brother, Shane Scott Dela Cruz.

Blaine is survived by his son, Travis Haruo Dela Cruz of Honolulu, Hawaii; and his daughter, Daydrie (Cyrus) Yoshie Silva of Hanapepe, Hawaii.

He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren: Chasen Kaname Silva, Camille Tokiko Silva, and Connor Mitsuo Silva; his brothers, Kylan (Susan Cox) Dela Cruz and Chad (Laurie) Dela Cruz; his sister, Toni Newkirk; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
