Darin “Ipo” Kaipolani Jitsuo Yoshioka of Lihue, Kauai, passed away in Lihue on August 15, 2026, at the age of 61. He was born in Lihue, Kauai, on June 23, 1965. Darin was a dedicated Operations Manager for Hawaii Gas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jitsuo Yoshioka; his mother, Theresa Yoshioka; his son, Wiley Yoshioka; his sister, Sharon Yoshioka; his father-in-law, Bernard R. Almarza; and his mother-in-law, Violet K. Almarza.

Darin is survived by his wife, Sandra Yoshioka of Lihue; his sons, Micah (Ashland Manguchei) Yoshioka, Hunter (Hoku Iseri) Yoshioka, and Kobi Yoshioka of Lihue; his grandchildren, Lily and Kaia; his sister, Gwendolyn (Calvin) Tsukayama of Lihue; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins

Services will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Kauai High School Gym. Visitation and service times will be announced at a later date.

The family is being assisted by Garden Island Mortuary.
