Debra Ann Napolis Johnston of Hanalei, Hawaii, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center in Lihue on October 1, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on February 27, 1953. Debra was a retired security officer from Princeville Patrol and a skilled lauhala weaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Johnston; her father, Mark N. Napolis; and her sisters, Doreen (Napolis) Henriques and Diane Napolis Rita.

Debra is survived by her mother, Henrietta (Reyes) Napolis; her brothers, Dave Napolis and Dain Napolis of Hanalei; her sisters, Donna Napolis Friend of Anahola and Dana Napolis Palmeira of Hanalei; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private viewing will be held for the immediate family, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
