Jean Chiomi Acoba of Hanapepe, Hawaii, passed away in Pocatello, Idaho, on April 24, 2026, at

the age of 60. She was born in Waimea, Hawaii, on December 20, 1965. Jean was a dedicated

business owner.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shigeki and Kiyono Yamamoto, and Louis Jr.

and Alice Almodova.

Jean is survived by her husband, Rodolfo "Rudy" Acoba of Hanapepe; her parents, Thomas and

Geraldine Yamamoto of Hanapepe; her son, Ross Acoba of Honolulu; her daughter, Nikki Acoba

of Pocatello, Idaho; her grandchild, Hunter Preston; and her brothers, Tom (Tasha) Yamamoto of

Hanapepe, Dean (Dawn) Yamamoto of Kapaa, Mike (Kelli) Yamamoto of Las Vegas, and Ken

(Ann) Yamamoto of Kapaa. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews,

and cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, with services to follow at 11:00 AM. The family suggests casual

attire and flowers be omitted.
