Maximo Pescador of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away at the Garden Isle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on October 2, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born in the Philippines on November 18, 1938. Maximo worked as a plantation worker for Lihue Sugar Plantation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Isabel Pescador.

Maximo is survived by his wife, Florencia B. Pescador; his sons, Manolito Pescador and Rafael Pescador; and his daughter, Olivia Pescador. He is further survived by his 5 grandchildren: Jeff, Jr., Julie, Carol, and Jennifer; his 5 great-grandchildren: Kayzia, Kairah, Kellen, Damon, and Mia; his sister, Linda Lagazo; his sister-in-law, Nina Pescador; his daughter-in-law Belinda Pescador; as well as numerous uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with a service to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Saint Catherine Cemetery in Kapaa. The family requests casual attire and warmly welcomes flowers.
